Ron Bellamy began ringing handbells in 1979, and has been a performer and clinician for Handbell Exploration, the Handbell Musicians of America (HMA), and Solo/Ensemble Extravaganza (SEE). Ron was a former member and is now the Artistic Director of the Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble. He is also a solo handbell artist and was the solo ringing clinician at the 2019 HMA National Seminar in St. Louis as well as the 2023 HMA Area 2 festival. Ron is presently directing handbell choirs at two Lancaster area churches and has directed the Bucknell University Rooke Chapel Ringers on several occasions in Dr. William Payn's absence. He has conducted several massed ringing festivals, and will be the conductor for the February 2024 Toms River Handbell Festival as well as for the April 2024 Virginia Bronze Ring in Spring Festival. A graduate of the University of Scranton and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, his full-time employment is in the field of accounting and finance.
